A small apartment building at Okólnik 11 in central Warsaw, restoring the corner of the Ordynacka tenement lost during the war.
A six storey residential building with 1,651 sqm of usable area and five apartments ranging from 160 to 240 sqm. A two level garage sits beneath the building, served by a car lift accessible from ground floor level. Residents have an inner courtyard, and a retail unit is provided at street level.
The building was raised on a plot that had remained undeveloped since the war and was fitted into the historic frontage of Okólnik street. The Chopin University of Music and the Chopin Museum are immediate neighbours. Room heights exceed three metres, the facade is clad in light limestone and the courtyard features a vertical garden.
Building in the very centre of the city, on a narrow plot surrounded by historic structures, required tight site logistics and approvals from the conservation officer.
